T-Shirt Bras
January 14, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
There are various styles of women’s bras out there to suit each taste and type of clothing, but the one type that really confuses me is the t-shirt bra. And this one bedevils me because its name really isn’t a reflection upon its appearance or its purpose. Demi-cup bras allow low-neckline tops to be worn, push-up bras give a little extra boost to a lady’s figure, and convertible bras are good for women who want to wear strapless dresses or shirts. But, oddly, t-shirt bras are not those snug-fit tanktops with the built-in bra support. They’re just ordinary bras that may or may not have wires in the cups.
Apparently, the name is because these bras are great to wear with t-shirts and are said to offer support under tight-fitting t-shirts without showing any bra seams. They’re also made of microfiber and are suitable for any season (yes, apparently there are seasonal bras too). So why does it need a name based on the kind of clothing it’s best worn beneath? Wouldn’t most bras serve their purpose well enough under a tight shirt? Perhaps no one wanted to call these things “regular” bras, or no one wanted to hurt the bra’s self-esteem (after all, it is a delicate article of clothing), so somebody gave it a special name.
Personally, I think the tanktops with the bras sewn into the insides ought to be the real t-shirt bras. They may not be actual tees, but they’re real shirts, unlike the bra that is just…a bra. Really, look anywhere that sells bras; the t-shirt-style ones are just your regular, everyday, not-so-special brassieres. A little online research will show that these particular bras can cost anywhere from $13 to $70, and probably more. But as far as ladies’ lingerie, that may be some of the cheapest you’ll find anyplace; convertible bras can easily cost over $100, and demi-cup styles can be around $90 or more from some manufacturers. Yikes. That’s a lot for a piece of clothing most people won’t even see anyway.
But, if you’re an enthusiast of tight-fitting shirts, the t-shirt bra is said to be the best choice in order to prevent bra lines from showing through the fabric. If you favor more loose-fit clothing, or you enjoy wearing a bra over your shirt, then this is likely not something you need to worry about. Obviously, bras are very serious business.

How to spot a fad diet a mile away
January 11, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
The thing with fad diets is that you tend to pick back up all the lost weight because you convert back to your old eating habits. The weight loss is thus quick but usually also short lived. The only time when fad diets are useful is when we have to lose weight pronto. The other times they are just bad for us. The problem is to identify a fad diet. I will show you in this article 5 ways to do so
1. Promises of quick fix
Almost all fad diets hold true to this point namely a quick fix. The quick fix comes in two forms – the period of weight loss are short, ranging from 7 days to a few weeks and the weight loss is usually a big amount, ranging from 10 to 20 pounds a week.
2. Severe calorie restriction
The other thing that fad diets have in common is a restriction on the amount of calories. It can be anything from 1200 calories downwards. Such severe calorie restriction is very unhealthy and can have adverse side effects.
3. Focus on one or two food groups only
There are usually some food groups that are excluded from a fad diet -for example carbs. Or the fad diet only concentrates on one or two food groups like vegetables for instance.
4. Have a weird fad diet name
With fad diets you can expect weird and funny names like the cookie diet, the cheaters diet and the every other day diet.
5. Are very unhealthy
Because of the lack of nutrients and vitamins from the food group exclusion and the low calories content, fad diets are very unhealthy and should only be used for a short period of time.
Hopefully you have all the ammunition now to not go on a fad diet and to rather choice a healthy diet that teaches long term healthy eating patters. If you do so you are almost guaranteed to keep your weight off while doing it the healthy and sensible way.
And remember if you want to speed up your weight loss, try to exercise between 3-4 times a week. For cardio, eliptical trainers are some of the best cardio machines and to tone and tighten your rear view, have a look at the Denise Austin mini stepper.
Choosing Wedding Centerpieces
January 9, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
When thinking of the wedding decor, most brides want to have the best wedding centerpieces displayed at their reception tables. While it is true that budget is usually a problem (there are a lot of expenses involved in any wedding), it is not that difficult to create wedding centerpieces that are incredibly beautiful and add to the wedding decor.
Some brides do get a bit lost when it comes to deciding on the look, style and size of the centerpieces. There are a few rules you must follow in order to be successful and it is very easy to end up with the centerpiece that will match the rest of the decorations. Are you having a wedding theme? Your centerpieces could follow that theme; for example, if you are having a beach wedding then your tables could display beautiful tropical wedding centerpieces. Exotic flowers are not cheap, but they are usually so big and bold that you will only need two or three in each centerpiece. Try to arrange them with lots of green foliage to add freshness to the piece.
Colors are very important when it comes to the overall look and feel of your wedding. Many brides choose colors according to the seasons: for a spring wedding, creams, pink and blue are perfect. There are many flowers that you can choose that display those colors. Also think of which flowers portray the season nicely: daffodils, roses, tulips and irises can look astonishing on your centerpieces. Mix a couple or more of the flowers always watching how the colors match. Summer is great for reds and bright yellows and orquids and sunflowers are great options. The fall is usually depicted by oranges and dark browns. You could add maples leaves and twigs to your creations. Winter is most definitely white and this color will also add elegance, class and great style to any wedding. For great winter wedding centerpieces, you could have faux Christmas trees with a touch of holly and ivy.
Maple Syrup: A Delicious and Healthy Alternative
January 7, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
We see it in grocery stores. We use it on our pancakes for breakfast. We even use this as an ingredient to a lot of other dishes. However, what most people do not realize is that maple syrup is actually a healthy alternative to our natural sweeteners. It is organic, it tastes great and it has many health benefits that most of us are not really aware of. If you still have doubts, read on and be amazed just how nutritious this syrup is.
For starters, organic maple candy is very rich in calcium. It has about the same calcium content as milk, but without the added fats. This natural sweetener is also rich in other vitamins and minerals like Vitamin B2, B5 and B6. It has ample amounts of magnesium to help the body absorb calcium as well as potassium that is good for the heart. Other nutrients that can be found in maple syrup are iron, copper, folic acid, niacin, phosphorous and biotin. Because of all these nutrients present in maple syrup, it is no wonder that this is one of the best anti-oxidants in the market today. Zinc and manganese which are ever present in this kitchen staple are the two ingredients that helps fight bad cholesterol and rich in enzymes that helps the cells reproduce energy.
If you are trying to get in shape and you feel guilty of using sugar in any of your dishes, then you know you have a healthier alternative. You can now set aside artificial sweeteners that may promise you a glucose-free diet but may bring in dangerous side-effects and replace these with an all-natural sweetener. Maple sugar can be used for desserts, dressings and drinks. Put it in your green tea or on top of your fruit salad instead of whipped cream and condensed milk. Now, you can be rid of your guilt and use this syrup to add sweetness to your life.

Curing Hemorrhoids
January 6, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
Almost 50% of people live with hemorrhoids, both men and women, but not everyone shows symptoms. Some people live with them and never know, but others experience itching, burning, bleeding, and pain in the rectal area on a daily basis. Though the prevention of hemorrhoids encompasses a broad range of topics, most preventative measures focus on removing strain from the bowel during defecation. This over exertion is the leading cause of hemorrhoid flare ups. In order to remove strain during a bowel movement it is necessary to first utilize a high fiber diet, drink plenty of water, and have regular bowel movements.
Avoid eating foods that may cause pain or discomfort such as spicy foods and pepper as well as not drinking too much alcohol, which can direct blood to flow into the peripheral vessels, bringing on a flare-up. Over using laxatives can also have an adverse effect on the body, as diarrhea can be as strenuous on the bowel as straining to go to the bathroom. In addition, low fiber diets cause stools to be hard, scraping the bowel as it is passed; this can irritate the veins in the lower rectum as well, bringing on bleeding and discomfort.
Most cases of hemorrhoids are treatable with medication available at any drugstore. There are also a variety of homeopathic methods used to treat hemorrhoid problems nowadays, and surgery, which was considered the foremost method of removing hemorrhoids at one point in time, has now become a last resort used only in worst case scenarios.
Our bodies were designed to heal themselves and though many may not know this fact hemorrhoids can actually cure themselves. This doesn’t happen overnight nor without a significant change in the diet of someone diagnosed with hemorrhoids, but it is probable that if a person with hemorrhoids were to adopt a high fiber diet, keep themselves well hydrated, have regular bowel movements, and take all the necessary precautions to remove strain on rectum during the passing of stools that hemorrhoids could be prevented.
Insomnia Statistics Are A Good Way To See What’s Happening
January 6, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
Checking some insomnia statistics will be really revealing for some people. The simple thing that you can sleep is a great thing due to the fact that if you did not do that on a regular basis then you might have many health issues. How can a person that could not sleep act right the next day? Sleeping for at least 8 hours daily are like a mandatory thing for many of us and without it they would not be able to do anything during the day. The question is what we would do if we couldn’t sleep 7 or 8 hours daily and we would have to sleep 2 hours or none at all?
Insomnia statistics are helpful in showing us what the trends of this sleeping affection are, if more or less of us suffer from it compared to last year’s period. A thing about this disease is the fact that more than 30% of insomniacs had a relative that had problems with insomnia at home, meaning that this illness might have been caused by some bad genes that are in the family. Approximately nine out of ten people that are depressed, suffer from insomnia, which means that in most cases, depression triggers insomnia. If, by any chance, you have problems with insomnia, then it is very likely that you are sleeping a maximum of six hours daily, according to a study about it.
The conclusion is that, we are now aware that sleeping should be among our powerful allies if we realize how to respect it and take good care of it the right way and not dis considering it. And we also must be thankful if we have no sleeping problems, because as the statistics for insomnia tells us, there are many people with this issue. Having slept for 8 hours will make someone feel relaxed and be set for the good parts and downs of today. But should you want just 4 hours of good sleep and after this you are feeling rested, this is ok as long as you are feeling great. The most imperative thing when you need to close your eyes is to just clear the mind and stop thinking of nothing else so that you can fall asleep.
